What are felted soaps?

Felted wool soaps are popular for home and gifts – and they are made with local wool! They are not only beautiful but practical as well as the soap wrapped in a felted wool envelope acts as a washcloth and soap in one! As the soap shrinks with use, the felted wool wrap shrinks as well. When the soap is gone, you have an exfoliating pad. Or, you can bury the wool pad in your garden or house plant for a slow-release natural nitrogen fertilizer!

What we’ll make:

In this class, we’ll make 2 wet-felted soaps and 1 needle-felted soap for a total of 3 soaps. You’ll learn the techniques involved in both wet-felting AND needle-felting. Take-home supplies for continuing the fun at home at 15% discount for class participants.
