Our Felted Soaps Class is a 2-hour in-person class held onsite at the Mill. The class includes all the supplies that you’ll need to create 2 felted soaps, with wool from our own and local sheep:
- Base wool for each soap
- Coloured wool to create your artful masterpiece
- A nylon sockette to help the felting process
- Two lovely bars of soap
And the best part is, once you learn the technique you can replicate your soaps in any colour for any season for your own home or as lovely gifts! You can purchase additional wool supplies for extra soaps at our mill or through our online mill shoppe.

About Felted Soaps
Felted soaps are fantastic for gifts and as a personal treat! We use wool from our own flock at St. Mary Meade Farm as well as that from local sheep flocks. Felted soaps are like a soap and facecloth in one. As the soap is used and becomes smaller, the felted wool continues to shrink so that is always snug around the soap. And, no more wet messy soap bars because the wool soaks up all excess water! When the soap is finished, you’re left with a loofah that is lovely for exfoliating your face and hands! Or, you can plant it in the soil of your houseplants or garden for a natural, slow release of nitrogen fertilizer.
