Description
We raise rare-breed Cotswold sheep on our farm, which means that a large part of our work is about breeding and lambing. As with all endangered species, we need to take great care to track the breeding lines of our flock.
That also means that we have generations of wool on our farm! We are offering our Generational Roving Boxes so that you can create your own “generation projects” – a hat, scarf, mitts, socks….and know that you are wearing wool that has been produced over generations.
Our Generational Roving Boxes include:
- 150g of wool roving from our wool lines. They include 2 or more related sheep from our flock, sometimes with different wool colours
- The bios of the sheep who donated their wool
- Tips on the best project uses for the wool in your box
As we process more of our flock’s wool, we’ll add to the available list of Boxes!
Current availability:
- Holly and her Twins. Our Cotswold lass, Holly, has lovely white wool and her lambs, Kendra and Albion, are both chocolate brown. This Generational Box contains 50g white roving from Holly, 50g chocolate lamb roving from her lass, Kendra, and 50g chocolate lamb roving from her lad, Albion.
